One Wave Day

Dexton has been so excited for Riley and Quinn to come to visit. They came to our home just before Dexton got home from school. So it was a fun surprize. They went swimming and made huge waves and played in the raft. Dex had alot of fun. Thanks Riley and Quinn!

All my LITTLE Projects

Sorry I have been out of the loop for a week or two but I was a little busy with my projects.

Ok here is an update on what I did with my Yard Sale Treasures.
I started with this . . .

and ended up with this . . .

I made the ladder shorter and planted a small vine next to it but it needs time to grow. I will add pots and plants to it later.

Next I have my screen door. I've been looking for an old screen to put on my front door. I didn't have any luck but I found this one at Lowes. It's not old but it works. I put a spring on it and you just pull it open and let it slam shut. I did put a hook on the inside to lock it because I like to vent my home in the mornings or after it rains. It didn't come with ant hardware so I needed a little help. Thanks Dad.

I also got a old bench from a friend and stained it and added it to my porch.

I took some pics of Dex and Caebri.

Last but not least I have my deck. I started this last year and I'm almost finished with it. I have some staining left to do but I was so excited I couldn't wait to show you. I even got on the roof to give you the whole picture. What I was worried about was the bench that ran along the one side but it turned out ok. Just don't look to close. Like I said it's not even cuz I eye balled most of it

but it makes my cutting skills feel right at home.

Failed GEO Cach by Raft

We went to go caching up at Causey Dam. When we got up there we packed the raft and headed out. Half way to the first bend Doug broke his paddle.

So, we decided to take turns paddling with the good paddle. We get out to the first bend and there are some rocks you can climb on and jump into the water. We wanted to play so Doug and I held onto the rocks so Dex could get out and as he was climbing out he stopped and said that there were crabs in the rocks and he didn't want too. We assured him that there were no crabs in this water.

We have had to assure him on sharks on the drive up. We are usually in smaller water when we go rafting. After trying to convince him that there were no crabs in the rocks and to get out, then failing. I decided to get out. As soon as I got my footing on a nice rock. I see something move in the rocks. As I bent down to get a look this came after me. And I notice that they are all around me. So, I freek out like a girl and tell Doug to come back. If my foot moved it would get closer so before I moved to get in the raft I took this picture.

What the heck are they for sure and since when are they in water around here? I didn't think we would have stuff like that here. And were else are they. I would like to know for future refrence! I'm just a little freeked out. So, we decided to move on. I broke the other paddle 10ft from the crab infested rocks.

OK, so now we are in the middle of causey with just blades to paddle with. After a couple fast moving canoes and motor boats flew past we started getting a little frustrated but we finally made it to shore. Doug turns to me and asks me to get some paddles at Smith & Edwards on Monday. We have an activity planned for next Sat with the scouts and we need paddles with shafts and grips apparently. I guess we will have to try it again another day. Dex was ok with that.

6 unimportant things

1st -I needed to look up the word (unimportant) in the dictionary for my title cuz I didunt noe hawa tew spel it.


2nd -I tripped on my deck that I've been working on and totaly skinned my shin. I guess I should have used a level or a tape measure instead of eye balling it. Dad, .... don't say it.


3rd -Yeah, I kinda eye balled most of my deck so it's not perfect but it makes my saw cutting look right at home.


4th -Um, I like to be bare footed and my heals are not the smootest. Sorry Mom and Lacey but I will say it...... For years I have been sanding my heals with a sander. lol? Too much? Sorry!


5th -I just totally sneezed and I think a snot is on my sholder....... but I don't want to look.







6th -I hand water my yard 3 nights a week. I'm up until 2am. I love my 2 little tractors. I just have to make sure they stay on track and turn off at the end.
